Dismissal without a conviction, It is possible!
Date: May 15, 2008
Authors: LAC Lawyers
LAC Lawyers regularly appear for persons in sentence proceedings in both the Local and District Court and has a wide experience in sentencing law. We recently represented a couple in an appeal in the District Court in relation to convictions for resisting various police officers in the execution of their duty. The couple were both unceremoniously ejected from a concert at Aussie Stadium whilst intoxicated. Both on appeal had the charges dismissed without a conviction. This is extremely unusual for the offence of resisting a police officer.
