Katherine was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2000. Before joining LAC Lawyers Pty Ltd, Katherine worked for both boutique and larger firms as a commercial lawyer.  

Katherine has acted for both corporations and individuals and her experience lies in business, general commercial and property law. She has a sound understanding of the challenges facing commercial businesses. Katherine also has experienced in drafting wills, estate planning and estate litigation.

Katherine believes that building strong working relationships with her clients is essential to assisting them to achieve their goals. Her focus is on developing long-term client relationships and incorporating an interaction between her clients’ business interests, their aspirations and their family wealth management.

Katherine is accessible, approachable and readily establishes rapport with her clients. She is committed to assisting clients achieve commercially sound outcomes and her aim is to deliver cost effective and creative legal solutions in a timely manner.

Katherine’s areas of practice include:

  • Business and commercial law: advice and transactional work which includes shareholders agreements, partnership agreements, joint venture agreements, licence agreements, loan agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements and business acquisitions and sale.
  • Property law: purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, off-the-plan sale and purchases, Old System Title and Company Title properties, hotel purchases and the transfer of liquor licences.
  • Wills and Estate Planning: Drafting both simple and more complex wills and estate planning matters.
  • Estate Litigation: Family Provision Act claims, testamentary capacity matters and a wide range of other matters involving estate litigation.
  • Employment matters: Employment and consultancy agreements, unlawful dismissal, unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.
