Sharyn was originally admitted as a solicitor in Auckland, New Zealand where she gained her law degree. She has worked on family law matters including parenting, paternity, relationship property, and domestic violence representing clients. She also has experience in wills and estates matters, residential conveyancing and debt collection. 

Sharyn has worked for individuals within the family and civil arena and has a background in taxation, health insurance and banking environments prior to studying law. Since moving to Sydney in 2009 Sharyn has been working on family, criminal, debt recovery and taxation law matters. Sharyn is able to assist all comers and would be pleased to act for fellow Kiwi's living in Australia.

Sharyn believes that building a personable and ongoing relationship with a client, coupled with good communication, is integral to being an effective lawyer. The client needs to feel reassured that you as their lawyer are interested in their issues and will progress towards resolving issues together. Good lawyers are able to assist clients and inform them of their rights and responsibilities.

Criminal Law

  • Traffic: Have you been charged with an alcohol or drug offence (PCA – “Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol”), negligent driving or other traffic offence and looking for representation in court?

  • Financial Agreements: Are you contemplating entering marriage or a de facto/same sex relationship, are in a relationship or in the process of separation or have separated? You are able to prepare a financial agreement for all three situations to include the property you wish to protect.
  • Divorce: Do you wish to divorce (dissolution) - Sharyn can talk through the process and assist.
  • Spouse or Child Maintenance: Do you wish to know more about possible spousal support obligations or child support?
  • Parenting Matters: Do you need assistance to negotiate contact and care issues for your children?

Estate Law

  • Wills: Do you need a will prepared or in need of your will updated?
  • Estate disputes: do you wish to contest a will because you have been treated infairly?
