Alternative Claims
There is a common misconception amongst the public that where a person is dismissed the only right of action they have is under legislation.
This is not correct as there are a number of alternative claims which can be brought which include the following:
-
Unlawful termination
-
Breach of contract
-
Trade Practices Act
-
Misrepresentation
-
Anti-discrimination
In all of these cases you need to obtain informed legal advice as to whether you may be able to pursue any of these alternative claims. One of the most valuable of these is for breach of contract at common law.
Please note that LAC Lawyers only act for employees & executives who earn in excess of $125,000 pa (including Super). If you feel that you have been unfairly treated by your employer, contact LAC Lawyers today.
